Revolutionizing Analytical Chemistry: Evolving Strategies in Multi-Dimensional and Comprehensive Chromatography Integrated with Mass Spectrometry

This chapter has arisen from an article on the advances in comprehensive gas chromatography (GC x GC) published in the Journal of Analytical and Bioanalytical Techniques in 2016 and provides an update on the advances in GC x GC up to 2023. The number of research papers that have appeared has continued to be considerable and the section on the recent publications is highlighted by a selected number of these papers, which are representative but by no means exhaustive. Several research themes covering modulator technology, portable GC x GC, various applications and review articles are included. Several references are made to LC x LC in comparison to GC x GC.
